When the Eastern District Foundation Fund was launched, we received a wonderfully generous $1 million gift. That gift was provided with a vision that many others would unite together to make generous gifts to match that initial $1 million contribution. God has indeed provided an amazing start to the FaithSTEPs Campaign. But so much more needs to be accomplished with your help.
In the next year, we plan to reach out to the unsaved in our district mainly through urban and intercultural church planting initiatives. We will engage these diverse communities with special ministries such as Hispanic Mission, CityServe and the Gateway Initiative, which will engage our district’s communities by serving people’s needs and demonstrating the grace and love of God to them daily. We want to help lower the barriers that prevent Christians from building meaningful relationships with those who do not know Jesus.
Doesn’t my church already contribute to the FaithSTEPs campaign
and the Eastern District Foundation Fund?
No, while your church does contribute toward the day-to-day expenses of the Eastern District, churches have not been asked to contribute to the Eastern District Foundation Fund or the FaithSTEPs Campaign. Therefore we are asking individuals, not churches to consider their role in supporting these ministry initiatives to reach the unreached communities of our district. We recognize the churches do already contribute their “fair share” to the daily operations of the Eastern District. The Foundation Fund is a completely separate ministry initiative and operates outside of the normal operating budget of the Eastern District.
